Just played this hand in a online tourney im still in…

I was dealt Pocket Kings (KhKs), so naturally, I reraised preflop about 10 times the BB, to knock out as many players as possible…

The flop was 3h, 9h, Ah, giving myself a flush draw, but that Ace just made me feel a bit weary.

Anyway, to test the waters and make sure no one else had a Ace in their hand, I bet 10 times the BB, everyone folded except for one guy who called.

Turn was 9clovers… river was Ace of whatever…guy turned over A9.

Should I have folded when he called my bet after the flop was dealt? Yes I understand that KK can be beat, but I guess it was hard for me to accept that he might be holding a Ace rather than a 9. A lot of people will play their nines…

I lost about half my chip stack chasing him down to the river. I’m still in the tourney and got myself back up to a healthy stack, but I wanted to know what you guys would do with Pocket KK, AFTER the flop was dealt after my bet was called.

Seriously!

Over the course of October, InterCasino are giving away £100k FOR FREE. All you gotta do is play any game you like and you could be one of 200 people per day whose account is credited with either 10, 50, 250 or 1,000 Pounds, Euros or Dollars. You can withdraw the cash straight away as there is no requirement to wager any of the money you win.

This means 6000 people stand to win free money (that’s around half of InterCasino players).

If you’ve got any questions about this feel free to ask – I’d love to know what people think!

Cheers

Adam (On behalf of InterCasino)

I went in late registration, but i think it started with around 300 people at a table. I was playing on my friends account for some reason. We got down to the final table(6 per table). And eventually we got down to the top two playing for $100 more and we are the chip leader by like 15000. The blinds were 5000/2500. I cant say im a great player at all, but i make money playing poker consistantly, but i got really lucky to be where i was in the top two. I was playing against a tight player, but i didn’t know how he would act 1 on 1. We play 3 hands. I stole 2 of the 3. On the 4th hand i’m delt A10 off. He raises into me 15000 and i reraised all in. good or bad play? By using forshadowing you can probably tell he called, but ill give you the results of the hand after i hear what you have to say.

i hate pocket queens. I just dont think its that good of a hand anymore because if an ace or king comes up on the flop you cant play anymore if the guy bets and you dont have a set. Unless you have a good read you have to assume he has a better hand. How do you play that hand in general?

Im trying to become a tight aggressive player…but the biggest problem I am having is that I feel like I must make a pot size bet on the flop. Example…with BB at 30 I raised to 100 with JJ in middle possition. The next two players called and every1 else folded. The flop was 7 9 K rainbow. I was 1st to bet so i led out(trying to keep my tight aggressive image) with a pot size bet. Next guy folded and the other guy reraised. I felt he would only do that with a King. I folded. The problem is that it was like the 3rd hand and I had lost 400 in chips. What should I do differently? My biggests problem is that I feel like I have to bet the flop whether i have AK or 10s. My other question is when to play AJ or AQ…these hands seem to get me in trouble. And is it ok to limp in early possition with small pocket pairs or hands like KJ, K10, QJ? I feel like when I fold these hands and raise 4 or 5xBB with good hands I mostly pick up the blinds and I’m always behind at bubble time or way behind at final table with 18 and 27 player S&G. Thanks
