Visa bans online gambling transactions

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act may not go into effect until June, but already major credit card companies have stopped processing online gambling transactions. Visa, the biggest credit card supplier in the US, has become the latest company to block the transactions.

As a new member of neteller I have some questions about the account registeration system. How long it usually takes to confirm the address? I send the files for a week ago and they havent answered yet. I could send money and start playing neteller casinos, but I decided to wait until they confirm my account and I can actually withdraw my money. Some could say overcautious, but I prefer safe than sorry.

Which one do you prefer? I use PayPal more than 5 years and Moneybookers for 2 years now and I lean towards Moneybookers because of the lower fees.

I have already Moneybookers (for Euros) and Neteller (for Dollars) but I need some other E-wallet or credit card for Pounds. Conversion costs 1,75% (MB) and 1,80% (Neteller) are so big.

I don’t have credit card yet and I have been thinking how conversion friendly credit card is? Any experience?

Moneybookers hasn’t really taken off like Paypal or even Alertpay but it’s very similar and has pretty decent transaction fees. Do any of the online gaming establishments that you know of use moneybookers or offer it as an alternative to fund accounts or receive winnings?

Do you still use Egold ? It is in hot water at the moment as it is indicted for money laundering. The feedback is business with egold payment option is making a killing as customers are unloading their egold funds.

The United States continues to make it harder and harder for Americans to enjoy any type of online gambling which really annoys me. I do know that several places are still billed as “US-friendly” so it is possible to do. What are my choices for payment processors though?

Have a spiffy Excel/OO spreadsheet template to share?

I’m guessing most of you have a spreadsheet of some sort for book-keeping and I’m further guessing that some of you have better spreadsheet-fu (ie. skills) than me. Anyone have a fine-tuned spreadsheet template then to share?

I have one, but I think it’s rather clumsy. I mean, it’s easy to insert an entry and I have balances of cash-outs, different net wallets and so forth, but dealing with currencies and dates might be a bit sub-optimal. If anyone’s willing to share their template, I’d be glad. Though I personally use OpenOffice Calc, which is not as popular as Excel. (I think OO can convert Excel sheets to its own format with some degree of success.)
