Craps in Los Angeles!

Well, almost…this is a card-craps variation that moves at a slower pace then regular dice.

The casino, located off the 105 freeway and Praire, houses one “Party Craps” table.

The table holds a maximum of 8 players at any given time.

Here are the games details:

*****
Table limits:

-Pass line/Don’t Pass - $10 - $300 (The table operates 3x, 4x, 5x odds and odds are bet in increments of the original bet, example a $25 pass line bet on the 6 may place a $25, $50, $75, $100, or $125 odds bet only (5x))

-Field/Big 6/8 - $5 - $300 (2 pays double, 12 pays triple)

-Prop/Hop/Hardways - $5 - $300 ($5 total in the area is the minimum, ex. $4 horn & $1 hard 6)

-Place Bets: $10 - $300 ($12 for 6/8) plus $1 for house collection for any amount up to $100 bet at one time (ex. $108 across would require a $2 house collection)

-Buy/Lay Bets require a $1 house collection to book the bet, and upon receiving a full odds payout a “buy/lay”, a “buy/lay” fee (read vig) is taken from the bet at a rate of $1 per $20 payout. (ex. a buy bet of $40 on the 10 will pay $76 and a lay bet of $40 on the 4 will pay $19)

*****

-All place/buy/lay bets come down as soon as it hits and must be placed again (w/ collection) to keep it up.

-The “rolls” are produced by an Automatic Shuffling machine which contain 13 “modified” decks of A-6. The end result is 52 of each number (ie 52 As, 52 2s, 52 3s, etc…)

-The “stick” position will announce when bets can be placed, after all bets have been placed a light will turn on on the table which means no hands in the table.

-Two cards are then pulled from the machine and the number is called.

-The dealer will then pay all winning bets, then remove all losing money.

-During this time, the light will remain on and no hands are allowed inside the table (takes some time to get used to lol)

-Once this is over, “stick” will announce for bets and the cycle repeats.

Overall this games moves at a slower pace then traditional dice craps, but holds basically the same concept. It can be a lot of fun when the table is full.
Also, take care of the dealers and they’ll make sure your bets are taken care of, especially when the table is busy.
