You know, this new serious out now being compared to Harry Potter about a romance between a human girl and a male vampire?

To be honest, I’m sick of hearing it. I tried reading the first book and I thought it was horrible! I had to take my younger sister to see it in the theaters, because, you know, I’m a nice big sister, and I think I wriggled in pain throughout it. Being a fan of the dark and macabre, I think Twilight does nothing but insult the ‘awesome-ness’ that vampires have accumulated through the years. For one, they don’t sparkle like sunshine when in the sun. That part always made me choke from laughing.

ugh, I hated it. I took my girlfriend to go see it. The only thing good that came out of it was that she cuddled up close to me, and that’s it. Honestly, I hate it. I’m not one for these new fads. I never was big on Harry Potter either when it came out, however, the movies are okay.

But yes, I agree. Those vampires are anything but vampires. They’re more like fashion models.

Never watched it! But now that I have heard about it from you. I think I would watch a few episodes before deciding on it!

I saw the movie in French with my Fiancee and our friend. I guess I didn’t find it that bad because I didn’t understand most of the talking. What I saw though did not impress me that much. I only really went to see it because they wanted too, and I had nothing better to do.

My gosh! I’m sick of hearing about it! You can’t mention the word vampire anymore without someone’s head popping up from under a rock going, “EDWARD CULLEN!?” Drive me bananas… and I HATE bananas.

Annoying as all hell. I refuse to say anymore.

Yeah, so I’m new to this forum and all, but I’d consider this… spam.

On another note, I liked the Twilight MOVIE, but not the books. The books sort of described watching the life of a hormonally derranged chick. It was sort of creepy.

Don’t even get be started on the books. Complete and utter “sell-out”. Soon enough people will be bored of it, and the whole franchise will loose money, again.

Never heard about it but would stay away from it at all costs as its being compared to Harry Potter.

I thought HP was good, but Twilight… dear God, nothing can honestly describe those books. I did sort of like the movie though…

Im so outnumbered. I actually liked it. :( I don’t think that it’s as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I especially like Jasper Cullen; I think he looks hot.

Do not worry Triste, I liked it too. I thought that Twilight was very creative and that it is right for young audiences like we have out now. I loved Stephenie’s take on vampires and how they were not all monsters that legends always said they were.

Oh! did someone say its compared to Harry Potter. I must catch some episodes then. I loved Harry Potter just like my son did!

I used to love Twilight, until I got into other things, and after a while reread the books and discovered that the writing isn’t good, the plot is just ehh, the characters are boring and VAMPIRES DONT SPARKLE!!! I think the story may have been okay if it were executed better. I mean, yes, a girl in a love-triangle between to badass mythical creatures is an awesome idea!
But Twilight is about a mary-sure who’s obsessed with her stalker sparkly boyfriend and meanwhile has a ‘Shapeshifter/werewolf’ who also is in love with her.
And don’t get me started on breaking dawn.
