I really don’t trust all these payment processor sites like alert pay and others.  If they take a credit card and have a merchant account, that is all I need to see.  I know if the site has problems, my credit card will take care of me in the end.  Unlike paypal they are not a good company to deal with in a situation where you have been screwed.

Alright yes, you make a good point. The credit card has a decent appeal process if something goes wrong, but with paypal at least you have to authorise the payments. As far as I know nothing can be taken out without your say so, unless they hack your account password.

Where as with credit cards I believe they can be charged time and again.

I like using a processor because then they are the only ones who have access to my credit card information.  I would rather deal with the fees involved than have to straighten out a huge mess because the casino I tried wasn’t an honest establishment or if someone had hacked into their databases.

Do what I did and get a low limit credit card just for using at the casinos.  I just opened one with only $300 limit so if something should happen, it won’t be that much of a problem.  I’m going to use it strictly for online gambling so it will be easy to keep up with and I can keep constant check of my account online.

I think that 4aces has a point. Opening a credit card account with low limit won’t be much of a problem if something bad could happen. Another way is to open a credit card that is strictly used online and not use it on purchasing for food, water and electric expenses.

These are my thoughts exactly. I don’t mind paying a fee if I know what I’m doing is secure. There’s a lot of risk involved when you stop and think about it and I’m not willing to take risks when it comes to my credit rating, etc.

That’s a really good point. I hadn’t thought of it that way before. I wonder if my credit card lender has something in the fine print about the fraud reimbursement policy being voided in the event of evidence of gambling? I’ll have to read it and check.

If a site needs to be secure and it is not, I most times will not deal with it. I just do not want to chance any info out there someone could use to steal or even borrow my identity. That type of theft is way too common lately and it worries me almost all the time.

I actually use the PayPal Plug-In with PayPal to generate credit card numbers to pay with, rather than using my “actual” plastic cards. The PayPal virtual cards take the money right from your balance and/or other payment method- it’s pretty neat.
