Can you spot if someone is cheating? Counting cards is one of the most used cheats in casino, but can you spot it if someone does it? Or do you have to be a cheater yourself to notice the signs that your opponent is cheating?

I’m sure there is a way because the casinos themselves monitor for cheaters but it’s nothing that I have ever been aware of.  I think a guy was cheating one time when I was playing blackjack because two big dudes came over with a manager and removed him quietly from the table.  I didn’t see the guy the rest of the weekend so I figured he was either cheating or lost too much money or something.

You can always spot the cheats! They’re the ones who are being escorted out by the really buff guys! LOL

On a more serious note, I don’t know how you can tell. But I would think that if someone acts nervous and antsy that might be a sure tell of them cheating.

Um, I’d say watch their movements. If they’re cheating, they obviously don’t want to get caught, so watch for the shifty eyes and clammy hands or something. Some people seem to have a certain bad habit of doing something while cheating, such as biting their lips or something. I’d say just keep an eye on them.

See if they have nervous habits for if their bids are getting ridiculously high or low, and sudden variation in playing styles.

Stay alert, avoid booze, don’t talk unnecessarily should be enough to have your concentration on your opponent’s activities.

In casino I play Blackjack and slots only so there is no need for me to keep track of opponents. Actually there are no opponents in any of these games.
