This may sound strange but I read an article a few years ago about certain days of the week being lucky for gamblers. Apparently someone did research that showed that certain days were better for BlackJack players, and certain days for Poker players, etc.

Have you ever noticed a pattern with your winnings based on which day of the week it is?

Since I mainly play on Friday and Saturdays, I am not aware of any particular day being luckier than any other.  I haven’t noticed any difference between those two nights for me, though.  Do you have any links for further information about that research?  It sounds like it would be an interesting read.

I do not think there is just random luck, we make our own luck in life. Its very possible to go and play on a Monday and win just as much if not more on a Friday (only due to the fact that more people tend to gamble on the weekends, more money on hand to be spent).

I’ve never paid attention to a pattern. And I really doubt there is one. But I do know that it makes sense if you gamble more on Fridays than you do Mondays statistically it makes sense that you’ll win more on Fridays.

I don’t have a lucky day - I only have the days that I’m available to play. I can’t get to the city on any other day but Saturday night, so we make an evening of going out for a meal and then visiting the casino for a few hours of fun that usually ends in the early hours of the morning

I have never noticed any pattern that had something to do with my winnings. Never did I thought that I would win in the end. If it’s a horoscope thing, how accurate will that be? I actually don’t have an idea which day of the week is my luckiest. I play on the days that I can be available.

I don’t have any idea. I don’t always play on the same day of the week so I don’t know if I could find a pattern. Interesting concept though and maybe there is some truth to it. I might keep track of my winnings and see if I notice any special pattern.

This is something I have never thought of before. I haven’t really noticed a difference for me. I usually go to the casino on Tuesday’s, Friday’s and sometimes Saturday’s.

It’s interesting that most of us don’t believe in it. And it does make sense if you play a certain day of the week all the time that it would be your “lucky” day. I’ve never been a big believer in statistics because they can be manipulated so easily.

Tuesday and Thursday are the luckiest. I have noticed it over the time and from now onwards, most of the important decisions of my life I decide on these days only.

I’ve never marked that sort of thing. But I have usually played on Wednesdays and Thursdays only so maybe they are my most lucky days.

I notice I have awful luck day or two near the full moon before and after.  Just my observations for last 3 yrs anyway.

I mainly play on Saturday and Tuesday both days are luckiest for me. On that day i pray my god and do gambling. I never miss these day and i always win in this day. So these are day for lucky for me.

I can actually think of some legitimate reasons why individuals might find some days of the week luckier than others.  These would be days when the player’s physical condition, and ability to concentrate and make rational decisions is not reduced by prior activities, such as work and/or travel.

Consider my situation, where the closest casino is a 2.25-hour drive away.  Suppose I schedule a week-end visit, leaving after work on Friday and returning home Sunday morning.  (I cannot remember the last time I did this, but suppose I do.)  If I jump into action upon arriving then I will be somewhat fatigued from both the trip and having been at work that day.  This could lead to errors in judgment like suboptimal strategy decisions, poor bet selection, and overbetting (to include not quitting when one should).  Assuming I do eventually retire and rest up, I should be in better shape on Saturday.  Upon preparing to leave on Sunday, however, and assuming I have not tapped out, I may again abandon sound money management and strategy in an attempt to recoup losses or score the big win.  Were I to take such weekend junkets routinely I might well consider Saturday, the day when I played my best and therefore did my best, to be my lucky day.
