For those of you that use a credit card for your online gambling, do you use an actual credit card or do you use a debit card that’s also a Visa? So far I’ve only used my credit card as I’m leary of using my debit card. Comments?

I’m still new to this but I think I’d use a credit card over my debit because of the protection service offered by my credit card company. I think debit does sound risky, or at least riskier than a credit card. It’s tied into your personal information.

I use my PayPal debit card for my online purchases and gambling. I never use my personal bank debit card because of fears of getting the think hijacked. I can’t afford to have my bank hacked into and all my money drained.

Does PayPal have a debit card? I didn’t know that. Where about on the paypal site can I find this? That would come in so handy as a lot of my income gets paid into paypal.

Paypal has a type of debit card, and for myself I would use anything with a Visa logo. You are right about the protection too. I once had to go out of my home state and ended up making some large purchases, at the counter visa declined the charges so I had to set out of line and explain that it was me using the card. smile They are very good at catching things like that.

There should be a link right on the right side of Paypal’s main page to find out more about the debit card they offer.  At least, it’s always there for me when I log in to the site so I’m assuming it’s a static link.  I don’t know anyone who has the debit card but I’ve seen quite a few with their credit card.

For online purchases (except through reputable online retailers,) I only use the PayPal plug-in virtual credit cards. They are very nice and you can use them once or multiple times, you get to choose. If you are afraid someone has taken your numbers or don’t want to get mysterious charges from a suspicious company, you can close the virtual cards whenever you want. They come in Master Card format.
