I’m stuck in the dark ages using dial-up. With the online casinos you usually have to download software right? Is my dial-up connection going to affect the download? Are there certain ones that are better to use with a slow connection? Please give me some suggestions. Thanks!

I have seem some that advertise their programs are ‘light’ so it does not bog down those with slower net connections but honestly I have no been on dial up in ages so its only from those I have read about online, I can not tell you this first hand that all will be as good.

Hi ohcraps,

Dial up will make downloading casino software take longer relative to a broadband connection, but once you get past the initial install it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve also been noticing a lot of flash based games that don’t require any software to download or install. The page will still take a little while longer to load, but if you play this way, you are only having to download one game at a time from their servers.

Another option to consider would be to email the casino you are interested in and request their software on a CD so you don’t have to waste any time downloading it.

Hope that helps smile

If a user has a dial up connection and is downloading a casino software in his computer from the internet, the downloading process will be slow. You may want to transfer their file software from a computer with a broadband connection into your flash drive then transfer the file software from your flash drive to your computer and install it.
