Visa gift cards

This might sound weird but I have a Visa gift card which works just like a credit card (I think). It has $100 on the card. Can I use this at any of the online casinos? I’ve used them before just like you would a regular gift card or a credit card so I know they’re accepted anywhere that takes Visa. Just not sure if it would work on a casino site.

Credit Card deposits are hit and miss for US players and generally the most common option elsewhere around the world. Rushmore casino accepts both Visa and US players, so you might want to give them a shot.

I don’t use a gift card but I do have a PayPal debit card that I frequently. I use it just like a credit card only instead of me paying a bill or having the money taken from my bank account, it’s taken from my PayPal account. You just have to search around and make sure they take your card (whether it be Visa or Master Card).

My kids have a few of those Visa cards that they got for Christmas. Maybe I should pilfer them and try them on a casino. They wouldn’t know the difference since they have so much junk already. Daddy needs a blackjack fix.

Wow, ShawnS, your kids still have these left over a month after Christmas?  Whenever my kids get a gift card, they generally spend them by the end of the first weekend.

I know that cards like this for random things end up being finicky sometimes too. I remember when I was a travel agent cards like Mistreo (that might be spelled incorrectly) were like these for UK people (I think) and should “be used anywhere, for anything” but when it came to purchasing air fare it never happened since the payment processor ending up thinking it was a fake card. I would try and email or contact support to double check and see if its allowed or not and save hassle time.

I would think actually that a virtual credit card bought from another country though, may work as a way around the US restrictions. There are card that are only the card number and CVV, no actual physical card. I’ve seen British ones at least.

I have a question about this thinking of it now. Someone I know in Canada told me this week he could not visit a site for SEO experts because they had not setup their billing system to allow for those in anywhere other than the US, would a visa debit card (or even paypal thinking about this now) be any different than a normal credit card?

As far as I know you would be able to use the gift cards just as any credit card (up to the amount on the card.) As long as the gambling website accepts Visa you should be fine with that. smile

I have about $10 left on one visa gift card, and about $15 on another…I want to purchase something online, but I need to use both of the gift cards. However, I am not able to enter both of them at the checkout. Does anyone know how I can use the money on both of these cards to make my purchase?
