This is a fairly new casino here in Detroit. If you don’t like neon lights then you might not like the inside of this casino. The ceiling features neon lights however there are tons of games to be played here. They have a table game called Casino War which I haven’t played yet but I have watched. I can’t wait to try it out. You can take a virtual tour of the casino here: http://www.motorcitycasino.com/casino-info.aspx. The hotel portion has several different packages, even one that involves a Detroit Red Wing game.

I did the virtual tour of this casino and it doesn’t look too bad. They seem to have a nice selection of games and I seen that they had some restaurants on site which is a bonus.

Vegas atmosphere, midwestern luxury. We stayed 2 nights during the memorial day holiday weekend. There was a small crowd, but no waitng to be served. Valet Parking was efficient. Concierge was helpful. Hotel is close to downtown, events and highways. We had a King Deluxe room with a view of the Ambassador Bridge and Tiger Stadium. Excellent shower with luxurious bath products and a deep tub. Extra Large and fluffy bath towels. Housekeeping was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable, we slept late each morning, but awoke refreshed. Although we were in a casino, you felt very safe and the hallways were quiet. The casino had lots of games and some live entertainment too! If you want a vegas experience in the Midwest, I say go to Motorcity! Don’t forget the spa, massages, mani-pedi, hot tub, steam room and swimming!
