This is a very nice casisno and is one of our favorite Michigan casinos! It has the largest gaming floor in the midwest at 150,000 sq. ft! There is very nice upscale restaurant and an upscale steak house. Both are very good, but on th pricey side. There’s a nice buffet tht offers aq decent variety of food. The sandwich/dle shop is excellent and offers a variety of soup, chili, pizza and fresh made sandwiches as well as Nathan’s hot dogs. Our favorite sandwiches come from a cart just off the gaming floor which serves freshly carved roast beef/prime rib sandwiches. You cdan get a sandwich, bag of chips and a soft drink for under $10! The hotel is beautiful with lovely, nicely appointed rooms. The non-smoking rooms are truly smoke free rooms so there is no smoke odor. The casino is connected to the hotel and offers a huge arcade for kids which is attended and secure. Parents must check their kids in & out & proper id is required before they release the kids. The complex has beautiful conference/banquet rooms. There is a shuttle that you can take fro the main casino/hotel to the slot palace and the RV park. The slot palace is actually the old casino and has a huge variety of slots, virtual games and the largest bingo hall east of the Mississippi! As it is older, it has the lower ceilings and the ventilaton is not the greateswt, so it is extremely smoky in here. Nonsmokers will only be able to tolerate a short visit. There is also a huge indoor pool complete with 14 karat gold tiles and music piped in underwater. There is also a large outdoor whirlpool for adults only where drinks are welcome! The gaming floor also has a high limits area and a sport bar/nighclub (no cover charge) with live entertainment. There’s also a large concert venue where various acts perform (like Kenny Rogers, Tammy Wynette, Cheech and Chong, Foreigner, Chicago, etc.) There are plans to build a huge resort and indoor water park on the property to draw families to the area for vacations. As for the packages, the best deal is the gas & gamble package. For $249.00 you get a king or double queen room for 2; $50 each in free play that you can use either at the tables or on slots/VP; $50 dining credit good at any of the restaurants/snack bars and a $50 Shell gas card good at any Michigan Shell station, one of which is conveniently located on the resort propeerty! The casino also offerfs virtual games sucha s horse racing, roulette and BJ. All in all, it’s a great casino to visit for a night or two and is located right in the middle of Michigan’s lower peninsula!
