I always worry so much that my opponents will be able to learn my tells or figure out when I’m over-betting to cover a bluff. After all this is what I do with them, so what if they’re doing this with me? I work really hard on varying all of my tells on purpose so I won’t be so predictable.

I work on not having any tells at all instead of trying to concentrate on varying my tells.  It would be better to just work on your “pokerface” so that your opponents never get a clue to what you are going to do next.  Once you are good at that, then all you need to concentrate on is your hand.

I could never play live poker because I think I’d look like I was having a nervous breakdown.  I admire you guys if you can sit at a table and look calm when you hit it big.  For me the adrenaline would just be too much.  How do you control that so you don’t have big “tells”.

Play with single style in your entire game. Don’t become too soft or aggressive all of sudden. Moreover try to be confident and restrict your movements. This would be enough to keep your opponents gazing about you.

Well it doesn’t hurt much. But like Mr. SP said, keeping a steady state of mind and limiting your physical movement would definitely make other feel a bit nervous about you.

As the above expert says, I too think that varying your tells would not make huge long term impact. You need to keep a constant level. Don’t talk too much and don’t drink too much.
