Alright, currently in my life, I’m having boyfriend and job troubles and obviously I’m under a lot of stress. I’ve tried screaming into pillows and some medication but I’m still under a lot of stress. Does anyone here have any ideas to either calm me down or just relieve some stress period?

ooh, stress relief? have you tried meditation? Pick yourself up some incense and light some candles in a room and just sit and relax. Clear your mind and invision negative energy flowing out and good energy coming in. It always helps me calm down no matter what. It also helps if you have some sort of meditation music. I have a CD called Return to Shangri-La I picked up from a local bookstore.  Seriously, try meditation.

You know, I never have tried meditation. Now that I think of it, that seems fairly obvious to do when stressed out. So, pretty much fold your legs and make the circles with my hands and hum?

No, silly, thats just stereotypical. smile Did you read what I said before? Meditation is a lot more than just ‘crossing your legs and humming’. If you did that and think you were meditating, you would probably annoy the heck out of yourself.

I simply read a book or just take a nap. Simple stuff, you know, just to get your mind off something.

Talking to someone you trust, and feel comfortable doing so with, is great stress relief. You could also try using a stress ball?

I have a stress ball ... I accidently ripped it with my fingernails. :( I love it though. I also listen to music and sing along and I normally start to perk up after the third song or so.

I love to sleep. I can sleep 12-14 hours straight (ofcourse it happens after lots of booze and heavy meal).

I have never followed any stress relieving techniques except sleeping. I can’t sleep like rogue (12-14 hours) but I definitely have sound sleep of around 8 hours.

You must have a break. Take a vacation and pamper yourself, how about that? With regard to your boyfriend, if your having issues with him, it would be better to have a sincere talk with him. Everything would be fine but you have to unwind first. Every problem has solutions, right?  wink

Well, I always try to do some sports to get the steam off and if I really some big problems to tackle, a third opinion is always a great help.

hello everybody,
Stress Relief is something most people are in need of. But how do you find stress relief in such a busy atmosphere like most of us lead in life? You have to find a solution that is easy yet effective, and additionally not going to cost you a lot of money which in turn can further add to your stress that you do not need.
