Reading is one way I always try to relieve stress and whatnot, but I also read simply because I love to. I just finished a great book called the Great Gadsby, and I’m start a book called Wizard’s Last Stand. I’m into more realistic romantic novels, but I do like a little bit of fantasy now and then. What are some of your favorite things to read?

I don’t generally read books. I just don’t have the attention span to do so. I don’t HATE books, I just can’t take the time to read them.

I sort of liked the Twilight series. I know, let the hate comments come pouring in. I didn’t think they were THAT bad, but they weren’t the greatest either.

Yeah! I agree with chippies. It was a mediocre series. Nothing amazing about it. BTW my wife is fan of it and has many episodes recorded in my PC.

I love reading self improvement books like how to make people like you in 30 seconds and similar. It improves your personality a lot.

I read quite a bit - JKRowling, Dan Brown, Chris Ryan, Stephen King - quite varied reads and I enjoy most books as long as they aren’t romantic or fantasy.

I’m the exact opposite.
I have many books on ghosts and spirits, along with astral projection and Rakei. Pretty interesting stuff for me. I also have a few fairy and dragon books as well.

I was not much into reading but after reading Dan Brown’s Da Vinci’s Code some interest has developed in me. I have also read digital fortress and angels and demons of his. Remarkable writer I must say. I am thinking of reading something from John Grisham now!

About Twilight: I read the entire series, hating it the entire way. But something about the books forces you to keep reading it. I don’t know what it is but everyone I’ve talked to knows what I mean. Eh heheh, it’s weird.
I read a lot more way back when. I don’t read much anymore. I really like random good books like the Bean Trees and stuff. Most of the required reading bull you read in high school. Where the red fern grows, a lesson before dying (made me cry!), the scarlet letter. You know, the works. Oh, the Western Game was a favorite of mine a couple years back!

I’m going to go with Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I know it’s weird for a guy to like a book like that but I just read it at a time that it really impacted me so I tend to read it over and over. Plus, the writing is just good.

I can’t recall how many times I’ve read The Lord of the Rings. My copy’s got yellowed pages and is held together by packaging tape.
More recently, I read In the Woods and The Likeness by Tana French and after reading each one, I didn’t pick another book for at least a week because there was no way I’d be impressed by another book after that.
I love the Ender series by Orson Scott Card. Really makes me think.
I’ve also read the Mortal Instruments trilogy by Cassandra Clare quite a few times because (even though the writing and the plot integrity are a bit questionable) they’re just fun.

Jodi Picoult is amazing!
My Sister’s Keeper & Nineteen Minutes are my two favorites
They all center around a topic that is contoversial (the death penalty, murder, school shootinmgs, domestic violence) and they keep you interested.
