ive never figured it out slow play or not. i figure it deepends where in a tourney you are. how much of a stack of chips you have. earlier in a tourney i always wanted to slow play till the fourth card then start betting big. what is the proper strategy and what do people here do

Just play them fast, standard raise preflop to 3xbb + 1 per limp, and re-evaluate post flop.

Waiting until the turn to play them, well thats just plain bad poker, unimpoved overpairs will usually lose a big betting battle on the turn.
