I have 7h 7c and my opponent has Ac Kc and the flop comes up 8c 10c 6d I then go all in. He calls me and the turn is a 2h and the river is a 6c. He obviously ended up beating me with the flush on the river. I don’t know if that was a good or bad play on my part. Did he have a better chance to win then me or was thta a bad beat.

OK.. let me get this str8… you went all with nothing more than a pocket pair while there was a possible flush draw and two overcards on the table?

I am no poker genius but that just doesn’t seem like a smart move to me.. perhaps if you had hit your set I could see a raise here but certainly NOT a shove…

I mean perhaps if you were seriously shortstacked and were in a desperate position to stay in a tourney.. I don’t know… I tend to like 7s but will toss them in a second if it looks like they are gonna get me busted out.

I do have some questions although not sure even the answers would affect the outcome but still… What was your reason for shoving? What was the table like? What position were you in? What were the stacks like? Was this a tourney or a ring game? How many players at the table?

Still.. I don’t think I would EVER shove staring at a pair with overcards and a possible flush draw… am curious to hear your reasoning tho.
