I’ve got to say, this was one of the dumpiest casinos I have ever seen. The room hadn’t been renovated since the 70’s and there was hardly anyone there to play the games (normally I wouldn’t complain about this, but it’s hard to get a poker table going with 5 people). There were cigarette burns on the felt at the blackjack tables as well and the staff wasn’t the friendliest. I would not go back to this casino. The problem is that the casino’s in Atlantic City think they can charge Vegas prices for hotel rooms. It’s no wonder not many people go there to stay. The best deal is to stay in Absecon and make the short drive to the casino’s.

I love 70’s music but I’m not sure that I would like staying in an Austin Powers themed room. I’ve never been to Atlantic City and was planning on visiting one day but now that I have read this, this makes me think twice.

I’ve been to Atlantic City but never stayed in any of the hotels. We usually either drive up for the day or stay outside the city.. can’t remember the name of the town we’ve stayed in…

I think a casino like this one may be cool to visit once just for the nostalgic feel, but probably not for the everyday gambler.  Most poeple like everything to be nice, clean and sparkling when they step foot into a casino.

Oh man, when I went to Atlantic City, I went to casino. I litterly felt sick after seeing those rooms. I mean, from the outside, it looked great, but when I got inside the real casino, I felt clastrophobic. Yes, I would not go back there ever!

I had a buddy who was telling me that Atlantic City is dead.  Well, I guess he was right for the most part.  I am sure you can blow some money there, but it sounds like you might as well be throwing the dice against the inside of a dumpster from what you say!

Really? It’s that bad? I had no idea. I remember when it seemed like everyone in my family wanted to take weekend trips up there. I’ve been to Atlantic City but only for about 40 minutes. LOL I guess that doesn’t count. I’ve never made it up there to visit the casinos.

Which casino are you talking about since there are several in Atlantic City?  I have been to AC a couple times but it was about ten, twelve years ago.  Back then, it was great but I suppose it could have gone downhill since then in some areas.  I know they’ve all been losing tons of money the past couple of years but they’ve also had fairly recent casino openings so those ones should be nice.

This sounds like a pretty bad place to visit. I think I will check this off my list of places to visit. You would think that they would keep their rooms clean and updated. I hate going to casinos that are dirty and outdated.
